Abstract

Healthy and balance nutrition are very important to people in order to stay in good shape. Most of the students from B40 families not getting healthy food at home. Therefore, this research is done as a purpose to survey healthy food management and academic performance among students of SJKT West Country (Timur),Kajang. Aspects that were studied comprised of the frequency of food intake, the nutrient content of the food consumed and eating habits which affects their academic performance. Mass media, peer influences, family socioeconomics as well as the environment surrounding the family are also affecting students eating habits. This study involved seventy students ranging from year one till year six from SJKT West Country (Timur), Kajang. The survey instrument used to obtain information through questionnaires. Besides that, this research will ensure students obtained nutritious intake from breakfast, lunch and dinner. The main purpose of this research is to ensure students get their nutritional food to perform well in their academic. As a conclusion, it is hoped that the information obtained from this research will be able to supplement the authorities is taking measures to improve the food intake pattern among primary students.
